Tony Winders is a digital marketing pioneer whose leadership, creativity, strategic insights and integrated programs have contributed to the success of hundreds of consumer and B2B campaigns.
As a principal in Winders Consulting Group, Winders leads a team of B2B marketing experts to provide strategic consulting and communication services that help media and ad tech sales organizations increase awareness and drive revenue at scale. Winders’ clients have included Adadyn, Brand Innovators, CauseCast, Dstillery, GumGum, inPowered, Jetpack and RocketFuel, among others.
Prior to WCG, Winders served as senior vice president of marketing at GumGum, an advertising technology platform for the visual web, known best for inventing the in-image advertising format. In 2002, he helped position Search123 for acquisition by ValueClick, Inc., where he served as vice president of marketing its ValueClick Media division until 2010. An early entrant to digital marketing and advertising, he was co-founder of one of the world’s first interactive agencies, InterActive Agency, Inc. (aka iAgency), in 1995.
Winders began his career in digital media in 1994 as the director of marketing at Viridis, a developer of children’s CD-ROM games. He received extensive public relations agency experience in the early 1990s at Murphy/O’Brien Communications in Beverly Hills and as an account executive at Paladino & Associates Public Relations in Hollywood.
A longtime connector and leader within the Los Angeles professional community, Winders is an adviser to several technology startup companies, including Intently, Noble Profit, Sponsorlist and Tipalti. He also hosts the LA AdTech meetup group and is the co-founder of Digital Family Reunion, an annual holiday celebration for the technology industry in LA.
Winders holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from the University of Central Missouri and resides in Thousand Oaks, California.
